Come Join Us
Sunday, January 28th, 2024
Join us this Sunday, 28th January, for our regular Sunday service, known as Worship for All. It starts at 10:30am, and usually lasts just over an hour.
It’s so called because it’s for everyone, particularly those living in or near Park Barn. It doesn’t matter how big your house is, or how warm you’ve managed to keep it these past few weeks – you’re just as welcome in the house of God, and we’ll do our best to make sure it’s a warm one.
At our service, we use a mixture of formal words (liturgy), prayers, Bible readings, and different kinds of songs to help us discover more about who God really is.
We will also share communion (wafers or bread, and wine) as part of our service this week. This is a way for us to remember just how much God loves us – enough to give up His only Son to die in our place.
Afterwards, join us for free hot drinks, usually accompanied by a biscuit or two.
We’d love to welcome you to St Clare’s this week.
If you can’t make it (or Facebook didn’t show you the post until afterwards), don’t forget we’re there every Sunday, same time, same place, and you’re always just as welcome.

Happy New Year to our fellow Park Barn residents (and our followers from further afield). We hope you had a good time last night, however you chose to see in 2024.
As the new calendar year begins, we thank God for the good things from 2023, and also look ahead to what is to come.
We pray for our world, our nation, our area, our church and ourselves (plus anything else that comes to mind).
We’d love to know what you’re thankful for from the past year, or your hopes and prayers for the year ahead – we’d love you to post them in the comments. For those things you’d prefer to keep more private, you’re aways welcome to message us. Your privately messaged prayers will always be treated in the strictest confidence. You’d also be very welcome to join us for our online prayer meeting on Wednesdays – drop us a message if you’d like the details.
As we also think about how to make 2024 a better year. If it’s time to try something different, you could always #trypraying or #trychurch. Order your own booklet direct, pick one up from by the church door as you pass, or join us 10:30 any Sunday morning. You never know what difference they might make unless you try!

All Hallows eve children

All Hallows Eve
Best wishes to all our children for a lovely half term, keep safe and do join us for our All Hallows Eve celebration. It run from 4 -5.30 pm and is a opportunity to listen to a story, sing songs, decorate a bag so that you can collect gifts from selected safe houses, then back to the church for hot chocolate (and marshmallows 😊) Children must be accompanied by an adult. Do come dressed up if you would like. If you could help with the bag decoration or the hot chocolate please see Diane.
